My art group meets on Sunday, and our "assignment" was to make something from a tin we'd been given earlier.
Now, you should have seen my art table -- all askew from holiday preparations, supplies everywhere! I figured if I just started to put things in order, I might get the right idea for my tin.
And it emerged. Bits of scanned art (some from The Vintage Workshop, along with an old ad and a bit from an old cookbook) seemed to fit a "food" theme.
A star cookie cutter and spoons were in a pile of kitchen-related embellishments in the "I wish I'd had time to make some tag cookbooks" pile.
And the glittery letters I'd done to make the word "CREATE" formed an anagram on my table -- "EAT."
I even put a recipe in a wee cookbook to tuck inside. Or maybe, I'll hang it from the edge. We'll see!
All in all, I was rather pleased with the results!
I'll be off blog for a conference next week. I'll try to check in on you if I can!

What fun! I love your little cooking inspired tin.

Your tin is lovely in every detail, the measuring spoons and star cookie cutter are the bees knees!

maybe it's the new year...
I've been arting too....but I'm not ready to share quite yet !
Don't you love using the stuff you already have to make something wonderful! This is darling!
This is adorable!
How clever! How creative!

You can not imagine how much it thrills me that you have an art group that functions like a traditional book club. Oh, I do love that.
I love the feeling of finding that perfect thing on the desk under the detritus. Strangely it happens a lot due to the state of my desk. Great tin. Enjoy the conference.
LOVE it! Any recipe that reads, "Cake and Wine..." HAS to be good!
Love the measuring spoons and cookie cutter embellishments AND the glittery "EAT".
:)
LOVE this!!!!
That is so cool.
Looks like fun.
Gorgeous and so creative! I've not yet found my way into the craft room for much except a little journaling and to begin work on a 3/3 atc swap I promised someone.
The 2nd pic wouldn't load for some reason....and I do love it..it looks so cool, but what are you going to do with it? It doesn't quite look like a wall hanging, or is it? You are so creative, especially with vintage things, I don't know where you find the accessories!
You really are so clever. Your creations are gorgeous. Enjoy your weekend.
So lovely all
I try also to make everything by myself :-)

Thanks for your comment because of Ronja. She is a bit better now but she doesn`t eat very much....Normally a Labrador eats everything....and within a very short time......But every day she gets injections since Tuesday and tomorrow our vet is back from holiday and we will see, what he is suggesting.Because she doesn`t eat we can`t give her the pills..She even refuses cheese, which she was crazy about before.
But her entire behaviour is much more normal than days before.
Best wishes
Iris
Your box is beautiful! And I love the idea of a monthly art group -- what a great way to inspire and encourage everyone.
Enjoy your conference this coming week... maybe you're headed someplace warm?
Oh,,Love the little tin! I actually got inspired and did some ATCs yesterday and made a bracelet.
Forcing myself to stay off FB is so hard. Addicted to Farmville and Cafeworld. Slowly weaning myself so I will not have withdrawals, lol.
You did a great job on the tin!
xoxoxoxoxo
Jeanie, Please come here and get a monthly art group going for some people so I can join.
Sheesh - you've got talent, friend. I LOVE this tin.
