My Favorite Posts of the Year!

As for so many others, the end of the year finds me looking back. I've met so many new blog friends here on Marmelade Gypsy this year and I'm delighted we've found each other. I've also been looking back at some of my favorite posts from 2019. Some might be before you joined me, others you may recall. In no particular order, I share them here.

Grateful

Our Berkshire visit had its ups and downs! The "up" part included family time and some knock out birds!

It was hard to choose between Harry flying or fishing (or Ellie Egret flying). But here's my Big Bird.

Fifty Years

A Fifty Year reunion -- and reflections on why finally deciding to attend was a good idea.

Here's to a new year of sharing memories and life on Marmelade Gypsy. I started my 13th year on this blog in late December and what a joy it has been to make new "friends" from all over the world. While many seem to be slacking off on blogging, I'm finding it more rewarding and meeting more of you than ever before. For this, I end as I began. Grateful. Happy New Year!

If I had to pick one of my favorite posts of yours it would be between the paper show and one of your corker parties. The first one awes me and the parties always make me feel happy reading about the fun and friendship you guys share.

Yes, we had a good year, oh, maybe I really pick up that idea of looking back.
We had bad times, too, I remember your place running full of water. (This is what happened to Ingo and hence he came to my place for good back then).
13 years here, too, and yes! So many stopped blogging and went to Facebook only, kinda sad.
Both brought good things, Blogger and Facebook.
Can you even remember the times when we lived without the internet? It all took so long, it was so complicated and finding new friends, haaa, how?

A very nice review, to another Happy News Year, Jeanie!

Oh Jeanie, what a wonderful way to finish up the year than by reflecting back. I loved Peter Mayle's book "A Good Year" and I love to refer to the title. Such a great review. All the best for a wonderful 2020!

Your life is so rich and full, Jeanie! I'm so happy to know you through blogging, and always look forward to your enlightening, colorful, and informative posts! I am still sad over not making it to the de Borchgrave exhibit. I would love to get a copy of the book that includes both the period clothing and ballet costumes. If I recall, you mentioned the book was either not available other than through the exhibit venues, or it was very expensive. Could you send me the ISBN sometime, and/or the title or cover photo? I've looked online and see 3 different books.
Wishing you a healthy and happy new year!

You are one of my blogging friends who really blogs a lot AND enjoys it - I can "see" that in every post you publish. It is truly beautiful. Like you I still think blogging is rewarding, even though I don't often find the time for it. I wish I could blog more, but I think that has to wait until I retire from at least one of my jobs. Happy new year to you, Jeanie! I look forward to your 2020 posts.

JEANIE!!!

Dear and wonderful Jeanie, thank you for coming to visit my blog; as you know, I am not blogging much these days and my school schedule just won't allow me to engage in too many social media platforms. I spend my "wad" of social media time on Instagram. However, it was fabulous to see your comment!

Look at all these memories here. From travels to home stay, you always capture what is most important: friendships. I hope that this has been a great year for you and that 2020 is an even better year for us all. Hugs to you dear and wonderful Jeanie!
