RIck Update!

Thanks for all the great comments on my Pangst post about Rick. I'm feeling much better now. He's been in contact from the road and having a great time. He even missed the horrible rains and storms that Kate and I experienced at the lake as we were attempting to have art camp -- and lost power for nine hours!

I share a couple of picks. The one above is with one of his Canadian work buddies on the second day. The one below is today, and he looks none the worse for wear, even after 125 mile day yesterday.

He thanks you all for good wishes and helping keep me sane! I tell him he's being a bad blogger, not having updated his bike journal and he told me he was too busy riding his post! Hopefully an update soon!

Meanwhile, keep the good vibes coming!

Jeanie, If you get multiple comments from me, I apologize - couldn't get it to go through! Rick looks great! I love his colorful bike shirt. Glad he wasn't caught in your torrential rains. Tell him that we're thinking of him here in CO.

He looks so happy and in great shape! And really so capable.

And he seems like he has earned that huge breakfast.

I bet he is loving every minute of this trip. Hope that he does remember to update, though. So often men don't remember that kind of stuff :)

I know you'll keep smiling!

I'm glad to hear the storms missed him. I was watching the weather on TV and it looked like bad weather was going right where Rick was riding. He sure does look happy in the photos. You can tell he's a man doing what he loves.

That smile over his enormous breakfast says it all.

THank goodness for modern communication technology, making it possible for us to be in much closer communication than in "olden time".............

Glad to know he's doing well. He certainly looks happy. :-)

Clearly, that is one happy man. I'm glad things are going so well for him -- I'd be happy, too, with that breakfast in front of me. I couldn't find a place on his site to just leave a comment, so I'll leave it here -- ride on!

So happy to see Rick looking so healthy and fit -- and so happy after riding 125 miles (!). The pictures must be so reassuring for you. May his trip continue to be a delightful adventure!

Updates and especially a photo or two are very reassuring!
Sending all good thoughts and wishes for a smooth (and quick) journey for Rick to return home to you with tales of his adventures.

The lake is so beautiful I see why you love it so. Wow, Rick sure is serious about his bike adventures (understand your worries) but how wonderful he's in a place where he does what he enjoys and it's a wonderful way to keep in shape. Love the Lizzie art, she's very beautiful!
