Waiting for the phone to ring as the minutes tick by.
We're waiting for the call to hit the road and welcome Kevin and Molly's first baby. Our first baby. We're watching!
And we know as much as we want to get things rolling, they want to more!
Due today. I wonder if there's a fine if he's a day late?

How very exciting for you and your family, Jeanie! When our first grand baby was born, our son was in Japan, so it took a little while before I was able to fly over and see her. She's going to be 14 this summer. Time will go so quickly, so enjoy them as much as you can!

Jeanie, what a coincidence -- I'm on baby watch right now, too! My "honorary son" and his wife are at the hospital, and I just got back from his mother's house. You must be sooo excited! Wishing all of you the very best.
The waiting can be excruciating!! I hope he makes his arrival soon! Seems like so many first babies come late (at least that has been the case with my friends/family). It's even harder for the parents, of course, and certainly for the mom as they tend to be so uncomfortable at this point! I can't wait for the news of his arrival! And hope you are feeling better so you can rush down there and meet him ASAP!!!

Baking is a nice way to pass the time while you're waiting for this blessed event. Your recipe above did not sound German to me either ;-)
