Getting Creative: Valentines

I don't know why I haven't zipped out more art lately. But I got on a roll around Valentine's Day.
It was all red and pink and lots of hearts! I used my gelli papers and some painted with acrylics for all of the larger cards.
For the smaller ones, gelli or handpainted hearts and washi tape.
And I have to say, I was "loving" every minute of it!

What a beautiful lot of cards, Jeanie! you are so talented. I am still using the wonderful photo cards you sent me last year. I save them for "special" notes.

I just received the most darling homemade Valentine's Day card yesterday in the mail, totally unexpected, and so needed. I wish we all had more TIME to do this, for it is art from the heart. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Anita

I'm especially fond of the cards in the last photo. There's just something about them that appeals.

And guess what? Dolcebelleza had instructions for an origami heart in her blog yesterday. I've never been able to do origami - I get so confused reading the instructions. But I managed the heart - so I've been Valentine crafty, too. See what an inspiration you are?

Those cards are so fun and beautiful. The people who receive them will be lucky. Even though I have rarely had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day, I still love this holiday! I know you should express love every day but I like that there is a day devoted to love. And pink and red are my favorite colors, so that's another reason I heart the holiday. Hope you & Rick have a special day and that you feel surrounded by love!

Happy Valentines day to you Jeanie. Your cards are just a gorgeous way of letting people know you care. I think I'll be lucky enough to get a foot massage for Valentines Day - Hope your man thinks of something special for you too :)
