I expect that I'm not the first to wish you a Happy New Year,
But I do hope your New Year's wishes come true.
My wish for you is that your resolutions, should you make them, are more or less upheld!
That you enjoy the company of good friends, family and those you love.
That you make the time to do the things you love, whether they are creative, athletic, take you deep into the world of books or filled with the love of home.
That each day you find a little bit of laughter, a little bit of joy -- even on the worst of days.
And that there is always hope in your heart.
I look forward to discovering new things with you during 2017. Stories, book and film reviews, artistic ideas, inspiration for cooking and decorating and most of all, friendship.

Good morning Jeanie and happy JANUARY 1, 2017! These are the most darling cards and just the art work and sentiments alone speak of a by-gone era; but I suppose every new year's we could say that of the preceding year. Where will 2017 take us, I wonder? However, I hope that one this is never lost: the great love that CAN reside in us, the "simple heart" and the yearning for friendship created in connections through art and compassion. Can you believe this? I have two of those cards in my collection of old family postcards -- I scanned and used part of the third from the last, with the silver bells, in my own new year post. I have one very much like the Resolution scroll, too. Vintage postcards are just the best.
Here's a a happy, creative, and joyous New Year, Jeanie. I hope you find the time and energy to accomplish everything that lands on your list -- a big order, because you dream big. I'm going to try and be a little "bigger" myself this year. We'll see how it goes.
