It is only a couple of blocks long, but on this charming street (and round the corner) you will find some delightful cafes and restaurants, along with wine and cheese shops. Of course, you can grab a piece of fruit or two to enjoy as well!
But it was the flowers that so attracted me and so many other shoppers.
My visit was in early spring and the markets were beginning to come to life with the splashy colors of spring!
I am such a sucker for hydrangeas. Rue Cler does not disappoint.
And as you canimagine, the freesia and so many other flowers shared their beautiful fragrances with every person passing by.
Indeed, I was enchanted by Rue Cler and its surrounding neighborhood. Perhaps it was time for a break!

Good morning, Jeanie. Yesterday the lake country; today, Paris. Lovely visits. Your little farmers market from yesterday can definitely compete with Paris.

Every time you post on Rue Cler I have wonderful memories of our friends who lived there in the 70s thru the early 90s --- as I've no doubt mentioned to you in the past. They had a second floor (first, by French count) apartment above a butcher shop -- you could see the butcher sign in front of one of their windows. The butcher had a right to live there but didn't choose to do so.
The cheese shop around the corner and one across the street were fabulous. Of course the fruit and vegetables were great too, and the cafe on the corner, I think on Ave. de la Bourdonnais. I doubt if I have a single photo from that time and place so I love yours.

I adore the open air markets and flower shops in Paris. I could just stand, sniff, and take in the beauty all day long. Thanks for this share, it is just beautiful.

Delightful post and thanks for being the tour guide here. I must visit Rue Cler the next time I go to Paris. I'd be most interested to sit in the cafes and look out to the beautiful street of flowers. The colors are so vibrant. I'd love to walk right into your photos. I can almost smell the fresh fruit and flowers. Another visual treat from you to us.
Everything is displayed so beautifully. I'm especially taken with the flowers. Like almost everyone, I suppose, I love hydrangeas, but this has been my year to realize they come in more colors than pink, blue and white!
I have a feeling we might be seeing more from that café!
Well, I'm in Paris mode because my husband is recording the tour and watching and rewatching each stage. I'll be glad when they actually get to Paris! Gosh - those hydrangeas are fabulous!
Lovely to visit Rue Cler with you, a couple of years ago I stayed overnight with friends in a small hotel just around the corner and we enjoyed a great evening together at a restaurant in Rue Cler.

Love this post! It's nice to get a little Paris fix as I have been missing it extra badly lately - especially since I just sent an email with recommendations on things to see and do to a friend who will be there this month. I LOVE checking out the markets in Paris. The signs for the flowers and food are always so charming and it's a great way to feel like a bit of a local!
