Fun and Games!

Here in Michigan, we've had an unseasonably warm January (though tonight it is snowing -- the lovely kind that kisses the bushes and sticks close to the branches of the trees and withered plants. Tomorrow will be lovely and white!)

Nonetheless, the past few weeks have reminded me of summer and the lake. And there's nothing like a small-town traveling carnival for an overdose of pink! So this Pink Saturday, join me for a walk down the runway! Get your magic ticket here!

We'll stop for a lemonade.

Enjoy a snack or two.

Check out one of the games.

Maybe win a prize or two!

And hit the rides!

Let's wrap up the day with another snack!

I don't know about you but I rarely do anything at one of these carnivals but take pictures -- but I'm sure looking forward to the day when the weather is nice enough for the carnival to come to town, when I can hear that carousel music, smell the greasy food and feel the sun wrap itself around me.

It'll happen. It will!

(Check out other Pink Saturday posts HERE! And if you're a book fan, don't forget to stop by Chopsticks and String for a look at my favorite books of 2011!)

Good morning, J! Loved seeing all this pink and the carnival on this very white snowy blustery morning. (I see the neighborhood Siamese is stalking our bird feeders. Sigh)

What a lovely cheery tour to kick off my morning.

I have a lot of "back" reading to do here but wanted to say hello and see how you've decorated here now that Xmas is past. Always love seeing your backgrounds and design. And now, over to Chopsticks for a look at your 2011 list! more later!!!!

Very fun, Jeanie. I probably wouldn't do much but take pictures either but I would be tempted by the elephant ears and the game with the '57 Chevys.

I haven't been to a carnival in a long time but you certainly brought back a lot of memories with your photos....along with the sounds and smells. Now I want a lemonade and some french fries!!

Like you, I use these occasions for people-watching and taking photos. I can rarely bring myself to eat anything or buy very much, maybe just something small to prove that I've actually been there.

I enjoy the colourful displays and the good humour shown by everyone, even if I'm not really part of it all.

I'm all jealous now. It's snowing at your house. I want some. I love it and we haven't had a flake yet. It was in the upper sixties the other day. Cooler today but not cold enough for the white stuff.

Love the pics. Lot's of color.

What fun we used to have attending functions like this. Always had to try and win a prize. Never could get the big one tho.

Very sprightly pink photos. We got lots of snow on Friday and woke up to 11 and a half inches on Saturday morning.

GREAT Pics of The PINK Carnival....! It has been Centuries since I was at a Carnival---These pictures remind me of the movie "BIG"....lol!

I cannot remember if I told you that back in the late 1960's my cat "BABY gave birth to five kittens, and my dear Betty G. and her sweet husband Larry took two of them....MARMELADE and BIBSY....There is nothing like an Orange Male Cat with Six Toes on each paw....DO take Video of your dear one---you will be SOOO happy you did, down the road....!
