Some Summer and Autumn Art

Thank you, dear blog friends, for your words of encouragement and support on my last post. I think the cardioversion was successful -- at least, it was that day. Whether it sticks or not we'll see. But I'm very behind on life in general, so please forgive me if I don't reply to your last comments or am slow to visit. Doing my best to catch up!

As I was pulling together things for next week's art sale, I realized I hadn't shared a lot of art from this summer or fall. Some of these are will be included in inventory for the November sale, others are for fun and a few are pieces from the Este MacLeod color challenges, which means they are really out of my comfort zone!

Here we go!

Paintings (5x7 will be matted to 8x10)

Sunset view from Sugar Mountain, NC
Autumn Lake View
Mary's Holiday Pup

It Don't Mean a Thing If You Ain't Got Those Strings (I still need to add a bit of detail to this one)
Mary's Dog, Autumn
Lavender Hill

Cards (original watercolors, suitable for framing)

Crazy Cat 1, Inspired by an Este MacLeod Tutorial

Crazy Cat 2, Inspired by an Este MacLeod Tutorial
Crazy Cat 3, Inspired by an Este MacLeod Tutorial
Poppy Trio, horizontal
Poppies, Vertical
Trees in Love, inspired by a vintage postcard
Happy Birthday card

Color Challenges

(We were required to use only certain colors and, if we wanted, black, along with a theme) These are way outside my comfort zone! None of these are in sale inventory, just my sketchbook.

Theme: Fashion
Theme: Feminine
Theme: Foliage

Theme: Fur
Theme: Fish

Sketchbook Miscellany

Wonky Look at the Back of the Cottage

 Felties

(I also have a robin, wine bottle, chickadee, goldfish and a couple others that haven't been photographed yet. All of these are ornaments.)

There's still plenty to do for the sale -- lots of packaging, matting, and lots more wool to poke! But it's all fun!

You produce a lot. I am no longer displaying photos anywhere. If I ever nab another printer, I might, but I also think I will be happy to just print for my own enjoyment. Sorta "bin there an dun that" sorta thing.

I especially like the first two, and the poppies, which are very appropriate at this time of the year as well.
Good luck selling.

Your paintings and felties are lovely! I hope you do well at the sale.
I didn't know you had a connection to Sugar Mtn. I lived in Banner Elk and on Beech Mtn. for years. I shopped at the Food Lion near the entrance to Sugar Mtn. every week.

What a great collection of art today Jeanie. It's like visiting a museum and not having to get up off the couch, which is about all I want to do right now.Between the smiling trees and that cat with his mouth wide open you've made me smile this morning. Hope the cardioversion works. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. hugs-Erika
