For the first time since before quarantine we were able to see Kevin, Molly and the Toddler Twosome! It was a happy day!
They came for a socially distanced dinner on the way up north. The boys were more into playing than eating!
I find it very funny that they both not only love Rick's old push button phone but actually know it's a phone!
And of course it's always nice when someone helps mow the lawn!
Two tables were set well apart. I kept my mask on for most of the time except for eating and Kevin and Molly offered to wear them but we stayed apart.
We had some pretty sugar eggs from Rick's mom that were filled with M&M's, or "Ms" as they are called in this family. Thing One was careful opening his.
Thing Two decided on a more effective and immediate way to break in. (We did say we could give him Ms from another egg but he was fine taking them off the ground. Building immunities!
I'm pleased to say that we have discovered the best kid activity ever. And you have one in your home too! The door!
Someone clever and small discovered he could slip between the inner and outer door.
And when one wants to do it, the other wants to do it!
And then, together!
You've got to love the ingenuity of being almost two! It was oh, so good!

Cuteness alert is correct. Such a fun and enjoyable way to have a day socially distanced. This is absolutely wonderful and so glad you and Rick got to spend time with them.

Whoopee, Jeanie! Just the first step on the road to normalcy. If you were happy this encounter imagine what it will be like when they can crawl up onto your knee?

Sweet sweet babies! They need to get kissed a lot, and I mean, a lot.
Total cuteness! It looks like everyone had a great time! How wonderful you were able to get together again. I suppose family get togethers are going to be spread out for many months to come. At least they can now happen with a certain lever of comfort.
Oh I know that was fabulous! They are two adorable cuties and I am sure it was hare to social distance. We saw ours last week for the first time in weeks, it was amazing. So happy for you and Rick to get to spend time with the family.............
I'm nothing but happy for you -- what a pick-me-up that must have been. And my gracious, they are growing. Those smiles are wonderful. Here's to more of them in the future!
Oh Jeanie, what a magnificent day! Love those little blond dumplings. The sun was shining just for you all, pretty sure of it. Darlings!
They are adorable! And I'm glad you got to visit. It's important in these strange times...
Jeanie, the Toddler Twosome are so adorable. Children love the simplest things, like an old phone. They can also make discoveries that we would never think they would enjoy. I know this was a wonderful time seeing them after so many months. Have a wonderful week!
I’m so glad you were able to see the toddler twosome! They sure are adorable! I bet it lifted both your and Rick’s spirits to see them, even though you had to keep your distance. Kids can make a game out of the simplest thing. Paul also loves our glass front door!
cuteness overload! I'm so glad you got to see family; that's what it's all about. I miss my sister so much and am still bummed I won't be in Michigan this year. Oh well we're both safe. Have a great week!
Looks like so much fun! Such adorable boys!
I love playing with little kids, they are so innocent and have not been taught all the ways of our world, yet. Lovely Sunday to you Jeanie.

They are so cute, love the photo of them squashed between the doors :)
You were obviously super happy to be able to spend time with family and the toddler twosome, Jeanie. Glad it worked out for everyone and one day soon you will all be able to gather closer. We can hope for that for all of us missing hugs from family and friends.
What cuties! I know how much you've missed them! We did the same for my birthday--we had an outdoor barbecue and kept distance and masks on until eating. It began to rain at cake time so we came inside but the children ran off to play in our basement where I have toys, and the adults were able to sit far apart.
That was a visit to build your mental health! Those boys are the cutest, and your place provided plenty of fun and adventure, even if the food was "boring" - ha!
Oh...my... goodness... Do those two cuties keep growing more CUTE, or what??!! LOVE that last pic with the squashed noses--haha! Sooo wonderful you were able to have a real, proper visit after sooo many weeks, months...sooo HAPPY for you all ! :) ((LOVE & HUGS))
Oh my, that is a lot of adorableness in a single post -- what a joy to see them again!
Let's hope it's not so long before your next encounter.
I'm glad you were able to get a bit of time with the toddler twosome. I'm sure that did a lot to lift your spirits.
Oh, Jeanie. This title is true to its words. You have the cutest little twosome around and I love the way you did your reunion. I'm so glad you had a good time and it certainly would be a life to your spirits..Stay well..xxoJudy
So glad you all got to have the visit!! CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!
Those boys are GROWING! So cute! I remember my Grands loved doors at that age, too. (We managed to have some pinched fingers.) I bet you had to use windex after they left.
