A Pretty-In-Pink Wedding!

I'm a little late on posting this one -- it's almost fall after all, and the wedding was in June! But I couldn't miss talking a bit about the flowers and setting of Kevin and Molly's wedding. It was the ultimate "Pretty In Pink."

They were married at the Grand Ledge Opera House not far from Lansing. The caterers would put on the silver and napkins.
The rest was up to us.

Rick was part of the lantern-hanging brigade. Another crew did the lights!

The favors were chocolate chip cookies made by Kevin's grandmother on his mom's side. She made 33 dozen and packaged them in pink and white. Those were placed on the tables with candles and flowers in the center.

The flowers! Oh, they were gasp-worthy!

Plenty of pink peonies, hydrangeas and roses.

And there were a few white spider mums thrown in!

I wasn't too sure about these tall ones -- I figured they were an accident waiting to happen. I am pleased to report no flowers were tipped during the evening!

There were also flowers for the outside where the ceremony was taking place.

You can see here that the men's ties and bridesmaids' bouquets and shoes were pink, too!

When we left, the ballroom looked like this.

When we came back, pink napkins were placed, the lights were dimmed and it was a magical pink palace.

And it smelled fabulous!

And really, who doesn't look good when surrounded by pink?

This post is part of Beverly's Pink Saturday blog party -- visit her link here to find other posts from lots of bloggers who are "in the pink!"

A beautiful wedding with a lovely bride. How neat that she chose Pink for her colors. Loved it with the gray, and it certainly made for great photos. Happy Pink Saturday.

Everything about this wedding is gorgeous -- the flowers, the small details, the wedding party attire, the general decor. But what I really love about it is the collaborative nature of the event from helping to hang the lanterns to Grandma's cookies wrapped for each guest to enjoy! Thanks for sharing this, Jeanie. It's never too late to see pictures of a lovely moment in time like this one!

I just love the thought of everyone mucking in to do their bit. And the thought of grandma baking 33 dozen cookies makes my heart swell.
So envious of such strong family bonds...

The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I never see such pink displays without thinking of my mother and grandmother's peonies -- pink, white and fuschia. They always made a display as beautiful as these, even when they were only tucked into a Mason jar.

'gasp-worthy' indeed! The flowers, both inside and out are amazing. I esp. like the two arrangements outside. And love the lanterns too. 'Pretty in Pink' wedding, how interesting your description, makes me think of James Spader... his younger days. ;)

Those are the prettiest flowers I've ever seen at a wedding. I love hydrangeas and peonies. And roses, too, of course. Hail to Grandma for making 33 dozen chocolate chip cookies. What a great favor. I bet none were left behind.

OOOooo... ALL the PINK! Me loves... (you heard that right, said with a purr... ;o) (You know, a cousin of mine recently married and she wore bright pink shoes too. And I think the groom & groomsmen all had funky colored socks on. Is colorful footwear/socks the new thing for weddings?!) What a happy days, Kevin & Molly's wedding. SO nice of you to share with us. Just LOVE all the those pink flowers. Hard not to smile when surrounded by pink. ;o) Happy Days, Jeanie ((HUGS))

Wow! Those flowers were gorgeous! That is one benefit of getting married in June as there are so many great flowers in bloom at that time. Pink is my favorite color so I especially love pink flowers! And the party favor is perfect! I love personal touches like that.

My sister has tall vases like that at her wedding, too. I did wonder if they would tip but none of hers did. They are nice for conversation as they don't obstruct anyone's views!

Now I don't feel so bad. I have never finished sharing the details from our family wedding in June. Where has the summer gone?

The pink flowers and touches used in this wedding are so beautiful. I just loved it. Wow. Where did she find all those peonies? I think the wedding looks like it was just perfect!

The bride and groom as such a handsome couple. I guess by now they are celebrating the two month anniversary.
