Finding Old Photos: France Edition

Well, I've been here before. A slow month. I could write about a lot of health things or political topics but I don't want to and you probably don't want to read them. So, it's back to revisiting the travel photo archive!

As I mentioned HERE, one of my favorite Christmas presents was from Kevin and Molly -- and Aura frame. I think there are different brands but similar -- you upload photos onto a screen in a frame about the size of a tablet and it randomly circuits through them -- as many as you put up there. (So far, I'm at about 1,100).

It has been fun going through photo folders of family and friends, and of course, travel, as I choose photos to include. So, today we continue the "Finding Old Photos" series, French edition. All pics, with very little text apart from captions.

Paris

The Seine

I saw this cat in Montmartre cemetery. Several months later, I would have one that looked just like it.

Montmartre. I loved watching the artists.

Champagne in Montmartre with blog friend Peter.

At Shakespeare and Company.

My friend's apartment was in this courtyard and I loved this image.

Do I need to say what this is? Timing is everything!

You will never be able to convince me that Sainte Chapelle isn't the most beautiful place in the world.

I'm serious. Never.

No, never.

Music in Sainte Chapelle. Astounding acoustics

Normandy
On the beaches at Normandy. You realize how challenging the D-Day invasion had to be when the soldiers hit those beaches.

Giverny

When I think of Giverny, I think of these beautiful poppies.

It's almost trite, Giverny bridge. But I love this image.

Thanks for coming along for the trip!

My traveling companion!

What other treasures await in the old photo files?

(If you are interested in any of the posts or travel tips from France, you can find them by putting "France," "Paris," "Normandy" or "Giverny," along with specific sites, into the search bar of the right rail on this blog. You'll find posts from my visits in 2009, 2012, and 2018, along with a few from blog events like "Paris in July" and book reviews.)

That looks like so much fun! A great idea for a post. Paris was amazing when we visited way back when.
