First, a bit of housekeeping before I get into the post. If you have a Wordpress blog, I'm having a terrible time commenting on your posts. Carole, Gigi, Erin, Gretchen and many others, I've tried. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'm logged into Wordpress, but it doesn't matter if I click the icon next to my photo or reply (or both), it won't go through. I've logged off and back in -- no matter. So, I'm still reading but if you don't see a comment from me, don't give up on me! (It's nice to know Blogger isn't the only one with periodic issues!)
This week, I'm on a post art sale high. We had a wonderful time at Mistletoe Market, seeing many friends and making new ones, too.
My friend Judy popped in from Ludington and I also saw my best junior high friend and her boyfriend -- with whom I went to high school, work colleagues and lots of theatre friends.
Several Cork Poppers came out, too! Cheryl bought a beautiful scarf from my fellow vendor, Vicki.
I was pleased that my felties were quite popular! These little needlefelted ornaments can also be used as pin cushions and most are flat enough to just "sit" someplace.
I took some of my old mixed media pieces and radically marked them down, just to get a bit more real estate in my closet. And they sold!
And people seemed happy with my note cards and watercolor "frameables" (original watercolors on a greeting card that are a card and gift in one.)
I was disappointed I didn't sell more paintings, but I also get it -- wall space is at a premium for most of us and things either work or don't.
Some of my out-of-town and online blog friends have asked if I sell online. I don't have an Etsy shop. But what I do offer is a pdf or link to the seasonal "Gypsy Caravan" (which is also located on the menu bar above during the holiday season). If you see something you like, let me know. I will add postage to the cost and you can just send me a check for the total. (Or if you are local or relatively regional we can meet up, which is even more fun!)
And in answer to a previously asked question, yes, I will ship international. But I can almost guarantee you that the postage would be considerably more than when you purchased unless it was only a greeting card or two!
No pressure, just letting you know! And now, we're off to tend to cute little boys! Let the merriment and the exhaustion begin!

As for glitches, security settings are what I've found give me the most trouble. On Wordpress, I've had issues with one account buy not the others. Whatever is going on, it sounds like something in your settings on Wordpress.

I am not sure what's happening with WordPress. I haven't posted there in awhile. Now Blogger I don't always know when a new post has been posted until sometimes two or three days later.

Well that was weird. I wrote this whole comment on your post hit "publish your comment" and a message came up and said " Required field must not be blank" meaning the comment field is not to be blank. This will be a test comment to see if it goes through.

Yes, wall-space is precious. When we go to Perth/Freo I MUST stop myself from buying anything from Wendy Binks! H canvases are up right where I sit, 10 mini-pieces to my right... and if it gets too much, you don´t "see" them anymore.
So... "glad" ordering something from the States is so expensive I won´t even think about it!
Oh, Wordpress, yes, same with some here, too, and certainly blogger.

I've noticed that on the WordPress blogs I read and want to comment on, at the bottom of the post there is a little Settings icon, and to the left of it, a WP icon that is almost invisible, it is so pale. If I click on that, it brings up my WP name and a Reply button. Try that! <3
Oh, and some WP blogs don't even have that faint WP icon, but only the big G for Gravatar, and the Settings icon, which, if I click on those, that menu of options opens up, including simply Reply. I hope it's the same from your direction!

I would have loved to shopped at your sale. am thinking yur watercolor cards would be a big seller-
You do this more extensively than I had thought. Not only is it hard to order from the US bc of shipping costs, but our $ is worth so much less.
You had a lovely display. Sometimes it is necessary to cut some prices to move merchandise....but I hate doing that.

Hi, Jeanie. When my computer acts up...sometimes the something resets in the settings, and permissions for sharing. Power outages or even just totally shutting down can trigger the comments on places. It's crazy, but your last comment to me, didn't go through either, so I sent you a note via email. What's really funny is that you're the only "Blogger" blogger where I can leave a comment without having to go over to Chrome. There's so much odd going on just now. It might be your browser. Go to your settings, and find the place where you can clear your cache. Don't clear your cookies -- that creates a bunch of extra work. If clearing your cache doesn't help, do a 'hard refresh' of a page you can't get into: Ctrl +F5.
If none of that works, go make a nice cup of tea, put your feet up, and wait for the systems to get themselves working again!

I can't believe how good you are at felting. I tried it once after seeing something you made and it was a disaster. I was not used to finding a craft I can't master. LOL

I think sometimes my tracking blocker interferes with commenting at times. I have to tell it that it is a safe site, and I can trust it, then it will not block the verification. Do you use a tracking blocker, mine is Ghostery.
I have also seen the Wordpress icon greyed out on other WP blogs I follow, but I can click on it anyway and it logs me in. Weird.

What a hoot ... selling all of your beautiful artwork and spending time with old and new friends (friends from Jr.High ... that is impressive :) Art certainly is a way to create a compatible community is it not? Your assortment of cards are delightful too. I noticed a ladybug in the group of cards as well. It's so nice that you got to meet up with some old friends too. Bummer about the painting sales but I am glad you had some success. Your felties are so adorable. We bought an owl one years ago and I smile and think of you when I pull it out when it's time to decorate the tree (which we did on Friday!!).
You have more talent in your pinky finger than I do in my whole body. Those are incredible. I use Blogger and knock on wood, I have not had the issues that others have talked about.
I have the same problem periodically with blogger on some blogs. It's never happened on yours, but there is one person I sent a message to because I couldn't comment on anything. Next time I had no problem. Go figure.

As for commenting on Wordpress, I have the same problems. I have noticed though that Safari is not always compatible with everything around you. It works perfectly well for me to comment in wordpress if I use Crome, but not always on Safari. Just in case you use Safari, or maybe something else.
Your creations are amazing. I must remember to come back when life slows down and take a close look at your work. The felties look particularly inviting.
I'm so far behind in blog reading that I've had to choose an arbitrary time to pick up from. I've had issues with one WordPress blog that won't take comments, as my account includes a number in it.
