Snow People

Christmas is put away. I know some of you consider Snow Folk Christmas decorations.

For me, they are winter! And so, out they come!

The step-back cupboard is now filled with sweet snow folk.

This one, by the Whimsical Whittler, is a favorite. It is never put in the storage bucket. When the season is over, he goes in the china cabinet.

And this silver fellow is an "old friend" and always holds court.

The fellow on the bicycle next to Silver Snow I think of as Rick's because -- yes, the bike!

I fell in love with this Snow Cream fellow at a shop years ago.

Of course, there are art fair finds...

...and gifts from friends.

And some just make me happy!

I actually didn't get everything out this time. I have a feeling a few things are going to the donate department!

I love snow folks! haha....Right now the only winter like thing I had out just got washed last night and is ready to pack up (guessing I am over the cold)...it was a matte at the front door with a snowman on it. I am ready for spring, but so not looking forward to the season after that. Summer does me in like winter but only in another way. Have a great week.

Snow Folks!! I have one or two out this year. Had more but many went to new homes. I love your collection! Hugs!

How ironic, Jeannie. Right after I put all my Christmas decorations away, I get out my snow people and use them to decorate until it's time to get my Valentine decorations out. Like you, these scream winter, not Christmas. I adore yours. I think you have a few more than I have, but one of my favorites is my metal tin (very large and first held popcorn) I keep on my front porch with snow melter in it. Sure comes in handy, too.

I especially like your snowman on the bike and the wooden one in the cage. I can see why it has its own place the rest of the year, too.

Every year I leave my snow knick-knacks out as I put away Christmas, having every intention to leave them up through January. By 1/15 every year, I emotionally have to put them away. too much and I'm ready for Valentine's day stuff. :)

We are buried in snow today! I think snow folk are for all winter, too.
Yours are very sweet!

Nice collection Jeanie. Those snowmen are cute. perfect to get you through winter once the Christmas things get put away. :) They add a lot of whimsy to what can be a rather dark season. Hope all is well. Hugs-Erika

Snow people are definitely winter items for where you live. If I left them out here my friends would say, "Hey you left out that snowman." :)

Jeanie, how I love your snow folk...each one unique with personality! I should have left mine out through January. Today is almost spring-like with a high of 70 degrees. It was 9 degrees on Wednesday morning, welcome to the Deep South!

Love your collection of snow people, they are all such fun. I don't have anything like them, but I do remember seeing some in England as a kid. Have a great, new week, hugs, Valerie

Nothing wrong with just calling snow people Winter decorations. I'm sure they help brighten up the place in the time between Christmas and Valentine's Day.

A great collection of snowmen Jeanie. I consider them Christmas through the cold months, definitely winter decor. I never put mine away until spring. Enjoy those darling people!

Snow folk? Never heard of them. What are they made of and what do they represent?
You bring out different knickknacks for different seasons, how do you cope with the dusting?

What a collector of Snow Folk you are, more happy expressions of you! It makes sense that you would love them, as you seem to love real Folk too! I love snow folk a lot, and love the variety of yours! About 5 or 6 winters ago I did some blog posts with snow people in my neighborhood, as well as some I had made on my front porch railing, for the school bus children that rode by in the morning...And memories from childhood of ceating snow people, forts, and a snow rocking horse that you could ride (he really rocked!)

I'm glad your snow folk weren't put away with Christmas!

I love your snowmen, Jeanie! I had quite a collection of them myself, but when we moved and had an estate sale, I got rid of all of them except one! It was a big decision, but now I'm glad I did it.

I'm with you, Jeanie. Snow people are Winter decorations too! Look at all these snow folks! They fill your cabinets with joy. The one with the red cardinal is my favorite. How cute that one is. Enjoy your snow people as long as you can, Jeanie. Winter will last for awhile longer. It's raining here today!

Snow people are my favorite...they remind me of wonderful times creating snow families when I was a kid...I'd spend all day making larger than life elaborate snow people and they'd be ready in time for my dad when he came home from work. You have a delightful collection...each one made me smile. :) I'd love to carry on the tradition of snow people with my girls but we never get enough snow here.

You'd better hurry and enjoy them, Jeanie. It's almost time for Valentine's day!

They are really good gifts made with the warm friendship.

Such a cute way to add touches of winter after the decor comes down. Especially if they make you smile.

Jeanie, What a darling collection of snow men! Each has such a cute personality.
We only got a sprinkling of snow but it shut the schools down.

The last one, with the blue mittens, is adorable! And I love the guy with the crooked nose, too cute.

It's nice that you have winter decorations, not just Christmas. Everything always looks so bare and drab once the Christmas decorations are put away. I don't think that's the case at your house, though!

I think in your neck of the woods Snow Folk should work till April;)

I love your "snow folk". Each year I think about leaving mine out or at the very least the little village, but this year just wanted to put it all away for some reason. I think it was Jim's surgery coming up and my goal of reeeeally cleaning up my house this year and getting rid of some things. But I can certainly enjoy yours.
