I thought I'd kicked the shingles headaches, but I have one today that's a killer. That and a meltdown last night and I realize I'm not as jazzy as I sometimes pretend to be.
Between that and fatigue (and not much to say!) I'm going to take a few days of downtime (some of which will be spent with a purr therapist, whom as you can see doesn't like to be disturbed!) Hopefully soon I can get up a good post for you.
I have a couple in the queue but just can't get them right. So, I thought I'd take a note from Mlle. Lizzie Cosette's book and catch a few winks. (She does that so well!)
Some of you have asked if there is any news from my docs on starting treatment. My next appointment with them is June 25 -- they are having me do some retesting, to verify that there aren't false positives.
Time seems to be moving slowly. But then, I'm a little afraid of the answers. I'll get their plan at that appointment; then I need to make some very hard decisions.
P.S. Down time may be extended. I just fell into a glass door (didn't break) and may have torn my rotator cuff. Still waiting for MRI/ortho guy. Meanwhile, I'm hoping it's just sore. On work property so worker comp. Didn't need that on top of everything!
The photos of Lizzie and me are from my friend Judy Winter, who shot them in February, when I looked a lot better than I do now!

Jeannie, I've been wondering how you're feeling. Rest is the best for you now - and what a nap-mate you have! Many people hold you in their thoughts - sending positive energy for healing. Hugs from Barb.
Take care, dear one. Rest, renew, restore. Many love and are sending love, prayers, and healing thoughts your way. XO
I am not happy to hear that you are still have the headaches. I had hoped those had resolved. Please take as much time to rest as you can in these 2 weeks before your appointment. I hope you will be thoroughly confident in what the doctors determine and the path you will take going forward. As Sally, above, said, there are many prayers and healing thoughts coming your way.
I think about you every day, Jeanie, and I wonder how you're getting along. I know shingles is/are awful. It seems like you've been battling this for a long time. I hope this comes to an end soon. Looking forward to a new post when you're up for it, but you must rest and take care of yourself. It's what you need to do. Always keeping you in my thoughts.
You have to stop and tread water before you make it across The Channel. Don't worry about blogging. Much as we all want to hear from you and keep up with you, we all understand if you take some much needed rest. I hope your few days off give you much needed respite.
Keeping you in my prayers with hopes of positive news from the doctors. Having a purr therapist is certainly helpful.
I believe resting is critical to healing. Lizzie is right -- snoozing is good........
I'm thinking about you.
Oh, honey ...
Better times are on their way.
And the love of all of us here in Comments and simply lurking is always with you and Rick and LC.

Sweet Lizzie!
Take care of yourself and good luck with the 25th visit. I will be thinking of you.
I'm sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well and are plagued by headaches. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
It's good that you listen to your body and are taking time to rest when needed.
I hope you are feeling better soon. It sounds like you are going through quite a bit right now. I hope nurse Lizzie can be of some help to you. Take care Jeanie and do get better soon. Hugs, Deb
Please feel better soon. Hoping with you that the rest is healing. Good to see you are still strong enough to pester the kitty because they need this in order to stay humble. Otherwise they will take over the world!
taking some down time sounds like a purr-fect idea!
One of the good things about always bringing up the rear, comment-wise, is that you get the late-breaking news.
I'm really sorry to hear about that torn rotator cuff. But here's a word of encouragement - I did the same a couple of years ago, trying to pull myself up onto a boat that had a high freeboard and no dock step. It was painful - very painful - for about a week, then it went down to a dull roar.
As it turned out, it did heal itself with rest (not bed rest, just being careful about how I used the arm) and some exercises that the good doctor gave me. It took a while. I can't remember how long, but I want to say six months for it to heal completely. But it did, and it wasn't really a bother after about a month.
I do hope yours is that kind of tear. You don't neeed surgery just now - but of course you know that!
The big question I have is, "Why the fall?" Mine was due to stupidity combined with excess weight - pulling 120 pounds up the side of a boat's easier than pulling up (cough,ahem,ummmm...) a few more pounds than that. I'm wondering if your exhaustion is getting to you and your balance is off. It would be ever so much better to hear it was just clumsiness. ;-)
Thank goodness you have a purr therapist - you need it, at this point!
Oh, bless your heart! I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I've had the shingles and they were awful! You'll be in my prayers. One of the best things is to rest. It's hard, I know! Take care of yourself.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Your PURR Therapist is so adorable!! Such a very sweet face,
I cannot believe you hurt your shoulder....I hope it gets better soon, my dear. And a Shingles Headache?? OY! It seems to me you are having much more than your share of Health problems. Enough, already, dear Jeanie. You really need and deserve a real break!
Well I know from your comment that it's not a torn rotator cuff, but holy ouch. It still sounds so painful. You poor thing! I am glad you have a purr therapist to help nurse you back to full health! I can totally understand why you need to take a step back right now given all the challenges you are dealing with! I am sending hugs and healing thoughts and will continue to keep you in my prayers!
I absolutely adore your attitude;
why not me, indeed.
We have so much to be grateful for,
have been so richly blessed.
Even with the wobbles,
life is still oh so incredibly good:)
