It feels so good to start bringing out the Easter things! And not surprisingly, bunnies and Easter eggs play big roles. And of course there is one cheery duck! Welcome!
Some of these bunnies are old friends. Others, like this cheery pink one, are only a few years old. She looks very happy with a little peat pot of eggs beside her.
Step a bit farther back and you can see she sits on the dry sink with a spray of forsythia and my egg tree.
Many of the eggs here were done by my mom and/or me as far back as the 1960s. It's hard to believe some are sixty years old!
Every time I put the egg tree up, I can't help but think of times making some of them with her. Others were bought a travel remembrances.
On the opposite side of the room, the fireplace mantel is a parade of bunnies!
I love this little moss one by my bird lantern.
I've had plenty of real tulips but these faux ones look pretty spot-on to me!
I finally got my act together and spent some time polishing silver. I love the reflections and sparkle it adds.
A quick peek into the kitchen. Nothing much here apart from some cheery daffs and spring things!
In the living/dining, we have more bunnies. This one has lights, too, but they didn't photograph all that well.
M&Ms don't last long in the house but they're always there at the holiday!
I've been painting eggs, too. More on this later, but here's a sneak peek!
Atop the china cabinet, three of my favorite "Vintage by Crystal" pieces.
This pink bloom was a long-ago gift. It seems to fit well with Grandma's silver teapot.
In the hutch, an few more bunnies.
I'll tell you more about the Lord Nelson tea set in another post sometime! I think it has found a new home here!
Peter Rabbit makes an appearance, too. (For two delightful Peter Rabbit design posts, visit Emily and Pam. You'll swoon. I did.)
More bunnies -- and a hyacinth that will need staking soon!
There will always be bunnies and blooms in the spring.
And sometimes, even a wee, Parisian bear, one of my felties!
Celebrate a lovely spring!
If it's not where you are soon, it will be!

ReplyDeleteI love all of your beautiful Easter decorations. I just knew it would be festive at your place! :)
ReplyDeleteYour rabbits look very much at home and happy. Your post brought back memories of my mom and I decorating eggs with beads and lace, etc. It must have been a fade back in the day. They even sold kits if I'm remembering right.
ReplyDeleteI love how festive your house is!! I especially love the flowers and the Paris bear!!! I am so glad spring is on the horizon. It wasn’t a bad winter but I am ready for budding trees and blooming flowers!!
ReplyDeleteI love the eggs you painted! I'm not decorating much for Spring but I think I will get my Peter Rabbit things out! Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThey are all adorable too!
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful Easter/spring decorations Jeanie. Right off the bat I noticed the Annelee duck. I like this one with all the fuzzy feathers. It's also wonderful you have some hanging eggs that your Mom made. They must be important to you and so you must really love putting them out. Your house is looking wonderful! Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteJeanie, it was a joy seeing all your Easter goodies. The painted eggs are so pretty, especially that Purple one. ; ) I've always thought your lantern was so unique. Your silver looks lovely polished. I remember polishing my Mom's silver every now and then, and it looks so nice after. Your Grandma's silver tea pot is a treasure for sure. The hyacinth is a beautiful color. And your little Parisian feltie is too cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a restful weekend, Jeanie, and Yes, M&M's!

You have the best decorations for every holiday and season!
ReplyDeleteAhhh... this is all so refreshing! I love the bright colors, the cheerful duck, the lovely and lovingly-painted eggs. Might inspire me to steal away from my Zoom schedule and prepare our own house for spring. We did spy an unexpected crocus -- one that somehow survived the bunny raids last year -- so who knows what else might happen? Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the shabby chic roses bunny! So beautiful. You are ready for a beautiful Easter celebration.
ReplyDeleteSuch a joyful house full of Easter bunnies and eggs.

ReplyDeleteA lovely and fun spring/Easter extravaganza. The French bear and the painted eggs are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteWe've got all of Mom's Easter decorations out too....Every year we always complain that we've got too many decorations, but still, we always have to put them all out and enjoy every one. Plus, the annual trek down to the lake to cut pussy willows and the garden to get forsythia branches gets us in the mood. Spring is really here!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very festive, Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteYoor rabbit invasion is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Easter cheer, Jeanie. It all looks very festive and pretty. We have had beautiful weather the last two days. Hoping it is here to stay. I had to keep looking at "hoping" in case it said "hopping" which would be appropriate either way..Stay well and Happy Spring..xxoJudy

You have so many pretty pieces and I love how you display them. Taking notes as always. Thank you for the shout-out for the Beatrix Potter post, so sweet of you. Now, I'm headed back for a longer stroll through this delicious post. Have a wonderful week sweet friend..........
ReplyDeleteWonderful decorations. They never fail to bring out the child in me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter my friend.
I love, love your Easter decorations. And the silver teapot and teaset I would love hearing more about. The pink flowered bunny is a sweet addition. I noticed your little fence on the mantel and I am thinking I need to dig out my little fence from the Christmas decorations. I think I would like it more at Easter with the bunnies. What wonderful hand painted eggs. The memories of decorating eggs with your mom is also so very special. Thanks for sharing!!!

Hi Jeanie. All your bunnies are so cute and I love all the little touches of Easter and spring you have. I didn't put out too many bunnies this year, just a few so that I won't lose track of time. I'm looking forward to mid-spring when, hopefully, my garden will look pretty for awhile. Everything looks so bad in winter and I'm never sure it will come back like it should. But, it usually does..Stay well..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so cheerful and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat little duck is just too cute;)
Lindos conejitos los adoro . Te mando un beso

Great post. I love reading your blogs. It is very informative. Thanks for sahring.
ReplyDeleteBunny definitely looks happy with her peat pot of eggs beside her;)
ReplyDeleteYour spring and Easter decor looks so lovely and cheerful, Jeanie. I know that looking at these pieces every day must lift your spirits now along with being vaccinated too.
ReplyDeleteBunnies, birds, eggs, and blooms. Spring has definitely arrived in your home. Those eggs on the tree are to die for, dear. I hope you have a beautiful Easter. Thank you for visiting, even when I wasn't able to reciprocate.
ReplyDeleteI need more bunnies in my life! These are all so adorable. I love the moss one, and I have that Beatrix Potter bowl, plate, and cup set too! It was mine as a little kid, although my mom never let me use it? I guess I never let Wyatt use it either. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWoW! You really have a super collection of bunnies and Easter treasures! Your bejeweled Easter eggs are lovely - I have a few Christmas ornaments that are created in a similar manner (though not by me!). I'm mad for those three little paper sculpture whimsies on top of your china cabinet! Right up my alley! I also have a small Royal Doulton Peter Rabbit china collection. It's a baby's divided serving plate and cup which the local bank gave my mother when I was born. Can you IMAGINE a bank doing that today?! LOL
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you have a lovely Easter holiday - and that you'll be spending it with your family.
I already posted on your two latest posts, and just thought I'd check to see what I wrote here. I really thought I had commented on this lovely post, but I am wondering now if I clicked the button or not. But, now, I have a chance to write a bit more than I thought I had :) so here goes..... there were so many happy colourful things to see, but for me the highlight was the wonderful eggs you did with your mother. You obviously got your artistic gifts from her, and it's great that these are not only a memory of shared times, but also such beautiful little works of art, so varied and so different. I'm not sure I'd ever want to take them down if they were mine.
ReplyDeleteForsythia.....another springtime yellow to lift the heart, glowing like little lights and such an elegant plant for framing treasures. I liked the yellow spangled sheaf in Picture #3, and the little yellow blossoms make a perfect framework for your little feltie.
I'm intrigued to find out the story behind Lord Nelson. It looks old, and interesting pottery and I am sure it must have a story. Does it date from the early 19th century? Actually the idea of a dish of M&Ms is a nice one, not that it would last two minutes in this house. But, I've been baking cakes for the volunteers at the vaccination clinic and M&Ms (or our equivalent, Smarties) would be the perfect thing to decorate the cakes. They seem to say "fun" and "happy" - which I guess the volunteers need as they work away so hard often 12 hours a day, and just to make sure that people are safe and we get over this pandemic as soon as we can. Happy Spring Jeanie!
Very nice bunny collection, and I also like the centerpiece from your previous post!
