Easter is early this year and I'm not quite in full-out decorated mode yet, but getting there. It's hard to think it's nearly spring when outside it looks like this...
My neighbor's yard -- a view from the window! |
All the color is inside!
All that snow won't last long. Soon we'll be singing our spring songs!
Isn't this sweet? A demi-figuring, used to top old pincushions! |
...Anticipate the ground tulips to pop and open like this pretty one on its last days...
And eagerly await the bunny!
Life is so good!

Life is good! I'm looking forward to Easter, April and all the birthdays in my family and Spring blooms!
ReplyDeleteHope Springs comes soon for you. I love the photo, that bunny is adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove all your spring pictures. I too am anxiously awaiting some w.armer weather and the wonderful signs that tell us a new season is upon us..I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling Irish bunny and I love the stone bird and eggs too.
ReplyDeleteYour first pic is beautiful, Jeanie. Umm, can you tell me more about the subjects? Your outdoor pic looks like one of ours, but, we're warming up real fast, and sunny too. Hope all the melting snow won't create a flood!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say that I too have been decorating for Spring. You have inspired me, Jeanie. I liked your watercolours in your previous post. You have captured the photos beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI like that even though you haven't decorated as much as usual, you have still given us a taste of springtime and Easter in this colorful post. It's a lovely view from your camera lens.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteOur tulips won't show until May, but then they put on a dazzling display.
It still looks very wintry over there, so glad to hear you are making spring plans and enjoying your flowers inside. The spring flowers on my balcony are coming along well, the weather here is very mild. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat an enjoyable trip to Easter. Your house seems so warm and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteYou have some beautiful color inside your house Jeanie. My tulips bit the big one and had to be put away. :( I need to get some more spring flowers I think. I know what you mean about Easter decorations. I haven't even thought about that until today. I know tomorrow once the day is an hour longer it will make it seem a bit more spring than it does right now. I love the little stone bird in the eggs and that circle walled garden, is that yours? I bet it's beautiful in the summer. happy Saturday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely spring decor. Everything is so pretty and fresh!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, springy post. Though, that snow scene makes me shiver.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy.
Lots of green shoots are popping up through the ground now. Spring truly is not far behind. Today I led a birding trip. Cardinals were singing, Common Goldeneyes head tossing, Red-breasted Merganser males vying for female attention......it’s in the air!
ReplyDeleteJeanie-You have the same kind of weather that we do. UGH---I am so over winter here! Can't wait to see some spring warming. Great pictures!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThe winter photos always look so beautiful, but I'm not a fan of cold weather. I can imagine a lot of animals struggle for food during snow time.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful Jeanie. Enjoy the indoor colour.
Good morning JEANIE! Oh my friend, I have not been able to come by lately; my mornings are so full of RUSH to get ready, drive an hour to school and prepare to teach. Soon however, spring break will be here for me, then April will begin and from that point on, it's all upward and onward for those students!
ReplyDeleteEaster is early this year, and our yearly trip to the lake for sunrise service in our car (with a thermos of tea) will be interesting to view. Spring will always start out on the INSIDE for us, but soon we'll be outside watching the birds come back to make their nests. We have spotted RABBIT BODY prints in our snow! teeeheeeee
Have a fantastic Sunday!

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Jeanie! I had everything all bullet outlined in my mind that I was going to write, and then got thrown a loop when I saw that Anita (the comment above) was also one of your followers. I have adored Anita since I first started blogging!
ReplyDeleteAnyway. Another charming post - love all the wonderful floral photos. It's still quite wintery here in Connecticut, so I think it's quite appropriate that this year Easter will fall on April Fool's Day!
I'm absolutely over-the-moon for that charming mandolin-strumming European style Victorian clown figurine! I adore all things circus - and especially that le cirque style!
Your final photo is such an enchanting ending - the perfect vignette with that rustic watering pail with flowers, the sparkly faux grass nest with speckled egg, and that lovely bunny. I do literally zero Easter decorating - but if I did, I know that I could take a lot of cues from you!
Thanks, as always, for sharing - and Happy Pink Saturday! - or Sunday as the case may be!
I wonder if Michigan will go from winter directly into summer, as it often seems to. Your spring decorations are lovely and a delightful reminder of what is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteQuelle joie de vivre!
ReplyDeleteI know Rick must LOVE that book:)I know we do:)
Pretty Spring things there Jeanie..our yard is pretty much the same too!
Happy Spring forward!
I love that last photo of the watering can with flowers. I have to do that. It's all brown outside here - both the yards and pasture are just brown. No snow. I looked out at the pasture a couple of days ago and tried to believe I saw a little difference, a little green... maybe... mixed in with all the brown. Soon, I tell myself. Soon. It's just sleeping at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLife is so good!
ReplyDeleteYou are experiencing sort of the reverse of what we experience in the fall. About August I start seeing all sorts of fall decor on blogs and in magazines but it's 100+ degrees here with absolutely no sign of fall. You just have to have faith that it will come and try not to rush the days. :)
OH I think I like our spring in TN so much better than yours. Although I am over the rain but loving the trees in bloom and the colors. Hoping you see that soon
ReplyDeleteThat little stone bird in your first picture is adorable! I have a thing for birds, I have to say. Delightful little guys.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so happy about the time change so early in the year. I wish it was done at the end of March. The early mornings just began to be light, now they will be dark again when we have to get up for work. However, I do love the longer evenings - we can't have everything.
It sure looks like ole man winter still has a hold there. Hopefully you will have a thaw and see little shoots coming forward to bring spring flowers. Now, love your color and Easter tulips and bunnies inside.
ReplyDeleteSoon spring will be arriving..........
Look at that amazing snow!! I heart it <3
ReplyDeleteHopefully the snow will soon melt and spring will be arriving for you Jeanie. Our weather has been a little crazy with lots of rain and now this week three nights of freezing temps or below! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteHoping spring arrives soon for you. It is almost 70 degrees today here, which is unbelievable. Trying to adjust my mind to day light savings time.
ReplyDeleteI think snow scenes like that are beautiful, but I know how you (and the birds) are longing for some warmth, some new growth, and a teneral easing of life's struggles. It's hard to believe that we're almost to St. Patrick's Day, and then Easter. Although we have plenty of green, we could do with some blue skies to enhance our celebrations!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful :-) Life is soooooooooo good isn't it? Blessings every where if only people would take the time to see them :-)
ReplyDeletebig hugs
Cheryl
Jeanie, what sweet photos! This Texas weather has really got me yearning for spring. We had snow at home, but it's going to be in the 60's this week. Early spring baskets are calling my name. I'll be doing a bit of potting for the porch.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Amazing how much CHEER happens with a bit of color . . .
ReplyDeletethank you
Ooo... looks like you're still in a deep freeze there too! Same here...*sigh*... we had even more snow over the weekend... LOL! Oh, but feeding the birds is a winter delight! And we need some happy touches around the home to get through this season, especially post-Christmas. Your table vignette is sooo pretty! This was such a nice lift for the eyes and spirits, Jeanie! Life is good! :))) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteSuch an uplifting post, Jeanie...the colors are enchanting and your words are filled with hope and light. With the time change, Spring can't be far behind. :)
ReplyDeleteOur clocks don't Spring forward until closer to the end of the month. Nice to see you springing in to Spring with such enthusiasm though. :)
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful! We've been cold, too, but I'm really hoping this is our last bout of cold weather before it finally warms up for good.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful nature photos, Jeanie. I especially like that Purple flower, so pretty.

Yes, deep snow makes it hard to think it is spring. I look for any little detail to celebrate change, life, growth. Wishing you lovely spring days.
ReplyDeleteLife it good. Congratulations of that baby. I know you will have fun with him. Thanks for sharing at Keep In Touch.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Jeanie, particularly the first 2. The bird is so cute and the tulips so cheerful. Is the Grandpa book one you have made?
ReplyDeleteYay - I feel like celebrating your spring too, even though we are going into our most sweaty Betty time, it was 95% humidity at 6.30 am the other morning! Bring back daffodils and fresh air I say!
ReplyDeleteHas it really been a year for you with your Baby Grand?! Amazing. Happy days indeed.

I can’t believe that Easter is only 2 weeks away. Time is flying! We won’t do any decorating as we are kind of in survival mode around here with a newborn! But life is good. I don’t think I will do an Easter basket for Paul since he’s too young to really care. But his grandma might get him one. His dad has already said he will eat Paul’s candy. :) Phil bought some peanut butter eggs which is my fave Easter treat!! I hope the snow melts soon and spring arrives. We are having his baptism on 4/15 and it would be great to be able to be outside so our tiny house doesn’t feel so cramped!!
