I've been lucky, too! In recent months (OK, many, because some of these go back to last fall!) I've won a few things and want to thank...
Jean from Delightful Repast -- I've been enjoying the tea that came with this adorable teapot since fall!
Pam from Everyday Living for a subscription to Southern Lady. (Which, by the way, is a terrific magazine.)
(incidentally, on page 13 in the lower right corner of the current issue, you'll find a photo of Pam's gorgeous garden!)
Sylvia from SMD Greetings for her cute Teddy Bear calendar!
And I've sent out a few prizes recently too! In December I had my 10th Blog Anniversary drawing and the winners were Jenny, Valerie and Bella. Instead of just pulling something from the Gypsy Caravan I decided to do watercolors for each, based on a photo they had taken and shown on their blog.
This was the inspiration photo for Bella.
And here is my version of her Porch Pup.
Valerie's beautiful photos were hard to choose from but I loved the simplicity of this still life.
And here is it in watercolor.
I thought Jenny's wonderful image of the shrine at Miyajima in Japan would be the easiest because of its clean, straight lines and simple colors.
But it was the hardest! Some things always surprise you!
I had loads of fun doing them.
Thanks to all who have come by to read and sign up or who were generous enough to offer drawings that I was lucky enough to win!
Congratulations on all the sweet prizes you won, Jeanie! Enjoy! The watercolors your painted for the winners of your giveaway are fantastic and they are such personal and thoughtful gifts. I'm sure you made the ladies very happy with these wonderful paintings.

Enjoy the prizes you received. I am loving mine, and it is much admired by all my visitors. At the moment I have it on my dining table so it can be compared to the real china when we are eating. Thanks again! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYour watercolors are just a delight! I love them - especially the porch pooch! Such a fun, festive painting! What lucky recipients to be gifted such lovely works! And, congrats to you for so many winnings - how fun!
ReplyDeleteI had a giveaway when I reached 500 followers ... and I've threatened to have another one when I reach 1000. But, as I'm quite "vocal" about my political opinions on Facebook, I am not gaining as quickly as I once did. LOL It seems that my opinions are not that popular with some folks. Oh, well. They're my opinions, and if it takes a while to make it to 1000, so be it! ;)
Thanks, as always, for sharing! I'm looking forward to what you have for Pink Saturday!
Jeanie, congratulations on the wonderful giveaway gifts you won. And wow, a painting from you were such fabulous gifts. I enjoyed seeing everything.........

It is so fun to win things and to give things away. I love your paintings and those who receive them are so lucky. I've actually been working on something this week! Yay me!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the paintings!
ReplyDeleteHow delightful to win, and to offer winnings! This blog world is amazing, even though I don't partake as often as I'd like to! Seems like the gratitude and appreciation you have is part of the winning! Your painted interpretations of photos are very sweet.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win, the teapot is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous painting of your cup and cookies and suck a creative idea. What a fun thing to do and hang in the kitchen.
Congrats on all your wins, Jeanie. That teapot and shortbread look wonderful. And of course, I was able to see Valerie's coffee cup and napkin for T one Tuesday. Such lovely gifts you created and beautiful ones you won, too.
ReplyDeleteNice prizes! And even nicer paintings. It was funny, but I was searching the internet last night for some Japan info and when I did an image search, your painting appeared. It must have been posted on Jenny's blog. And if it wasn't your beautiful piece, it was one very similar to that. Hope you didn't get as much snow as wee did-like 14 inches today. Ugh! hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Jeanie. Your gifts were so thoughtful, forever keepsakes. Actually, I saw Val's on her blog:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wins:)
Hope your day was productive and your evening pleasant.
Love seeing the tea winnings. You got some very nice teas there. What fun paintings too. Good job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and great idea. You have caught the colour of the red in the shrine. Enjoy your tea.
ReplyDeleteIt's really wonderful. You are able to create another fabulous world with blushes.
ReplyDeleteOooo, Jeanie...what GOODIES! LOVE, love, love that little blue teapot and so many lovely teas to brew! Loose leaf tea tastes so much more than the bagged. How adorable are those Scottie Dog shortbreads. mmm... Been ages since I've had Walkers short bread. Southern Lady--I think my Mom used to get that magazine...pretty! Love how you did your own blog prize round and made paintings from your friends photos--what a great idea! Congrats to you... and to all your winners too! Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))

What a talented woman you are!
It's fine to leave the link to my blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the prizes! I hope you enjoyed the shortbread - Walkers are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteYour watercolors are beautiful and I absolutely love the idea that you created a watercolor from a photo of the winners' blogs. That is so personal and precious. Sigh, I wish I had been one of the winners...
What a fun post. The prizes you've won seem very nice, and I LOVE the prizes you gave. I'm sure any of your paintings would have been nice, but doing a painting of their photos was brilliant. Personalized and you know it's something they love. Chewy.com sent my sister a painting of one of her cats from a picture that she had posted on their Facebook page. She loves it! I'm sure your paintings were even more happily received.
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are gorgeous Jeanie.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that was a pretty fair exchange - to give and to receive such wonderful pressies would make everyone really happy!
ReplyDeleteWren x
Jeanie, Your watercolors are fabulous! I'm going to start scheduling more time for me to paint. The problem with my painting is once I start, I get carried away and nothing else will get done or accomplished.
ReplyDeleteThat’s awesome that you have been on the receiving and giving ends of prizes! That tea set is so fun! And I love the paintings you made for the winners of your prizes. You are so very talented!!
