I'm not quite sure how we got to February. I'm not complaining -- but the year seems to be flying by! It was time to deck the halls for Valentine's Day.
I don't do a lot for Valentine's Day. It seems to pop up so fast and then boom! It's gone. But it is a time where we celebrate love, so I thought I'd better bring a little love into the home, starting with the front door!
The top of the china cabinet got a bit of a make over with my happy metal houses.
The wooden house by Kristen Robinson seemed a perfect fit for the season.
And of course the Vintage By Crystal figures make an annual appearance!
A mini-version of the door wreath faces me on the door of the Cabinet of Curiosities.
These little hearts from a former garland are now little ornaments!
My funny valentine is on the road for the holiday. (Well, actually, he'll be back -- just quarantining till he gets a negative PCR test.) So, we'll celebrate a little later.
Very ♥:)
ReplyDeleteI decorated a bit for Valentine's Day when the kids were little but no longer. I'll enjoy yours :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all very pretty and you do a lot more than I do for Valentines Day, I only have a little heart shaped bowl and I think that's it. Have a nice Sunday Jeanie. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have such lovely decor for all the holidays. V-Day is no exception at your house.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!
ReplyDeleteHello, Jeanie,
ReplyDeletePretty decorations for Valentine's Day. I like the cute little heart ornaments and the heart shaped wreaths! Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!
oooh, love those little Vintage By Crystal figures, they are always adorable!! Happy Sunday, Jeanie!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your decorating! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLooks like some sweet decorations to me! I don't do a lot for Valentine's Day either...but little touches make it sweet, don't they? Hope hubby tests negative when he gets back. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI miss having the kids around. There is no one else we see. I'm not sure what I have to decorate with, I should search. We used to go all out!
ReplyDeleteYours looks so cheerful! Thanks for sharing it.
I don’t decorate much for Valentines Day either!
ReplyDeleteBut I liked that large LOVE and it is giving me some ideas!
Thank you . . .

ReplyDeleteVery colourful.
ReplyDeleteJeanie, I always enjoy how you bring some measure of fresh appreciation/engagement with each holiday, each change of the seasons. None of that happens without a lot of love. Beautiful decor! (And I bet there will be yet more baking involved, right?)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
I do like your Valentines décor :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Lovely! You do Valentine's Day up right!
ReplyDeleteAll so unique and pretty! Janice
ReplyDeleteI love the Valentine decor you have added, Jeanie. It is just the right amount. Wishing you a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, you gave me the biggest smile with this!
ReplyDeleteIngo once came home with a heart shaped Pizza :-)
It tasted awful and I saw they have it on sale again, frozen. We won´t fall for that again, but the thought was so sweet.
how very pretty and welcoming for your partner to come home to.
ReplyDeleteWe don’t do too much decking here. Your right that the day seems to come and go quickly.
ReplyDeleteNice projects for Valentine. I just can't get into it this year. Maybe I need chocolate.
ReplyDeleteHappy Nesting!
ReplyDeletePrayers for negative test results
The snow people are very charming! They have delightful vintage and cheerful personalities.
Looks "Love"ly, Jeanie! Happy nesting until your Valentine is cleared with a negative test!
ReplyDeleteYou do more than I do. I just have a couple of of vintage style decorations I put out on my hutch. I like the few things you have. They are very cheery Jeanie. And thanks for the Decagon House Murders book recommendation in your book post. I picked it up over the weekend, and I'm really enjoying it. And no, nothing in my spam folder. For some reason my email is no longer picking up anything from blogger. It is very frustrating, but thanks for letting me know. Have a great start to the new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your decor! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteLots of Valentine pretties Jeanie! I must get my heart wreath on my front door today, thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteJenna
You have a really cute collection - I love the mix of types of decorations. Wishing you lots of love all year long.
ReplyDeleteLove all your Valentine decorations. Lots of love you are sharing. Wishing you and Rick the happiest Valentine's Day. And, do slow down the days, please. Stay well, Jeanie.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Valentine's month.
ReplyDeleteSeeing peoples decorations always inspires me to do a little. Thanks for the inspiration.
Sweet tokens! I have left my table decorated for Valentine/winter, but I am more than ready to move forward into spring! Melted snow and a couple of sunny, 50° days inspired that!
ReplyDeleteJeanie, your Valentine's village is darling. So are all the sweet hearts scattered around your home. Like you, this holiday slipped up on me. Hope your valentine sweetie is home in time for this special day.........Have a wonderful week of Love!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! The world does need a big dose of love! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do much for Valentine's Day either. But there's always room for a little more love. Happy nesting!
ReplyDeleteLove the Valentine's Day decor! I know many hate this holiday because they view it as a hallmark holiday but I've always enjoyed it. My favorite years were when I'd babysit my nephews. We'd get a heart-shaped pizza and I let them put as much chocolate and toppings on their ice cream sundaes as they would want because that is what being an aunt is all about! Now I have my own little Valentine's so will have to bring back the heart-shaped pizza tradition!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing the lovelies around your home, Jeanie, and Valentine's Day is no different. I love those little houses, now are they wooden or metal? They are perfect for the holiday. I like your RED LOVE SIGN. I have some wooden LOVE blocks that I didn't put out. They are kind of outdated, but vintage looking. I like how you made the heart garland into ornaments, those are cute. Well, all your little things add so much charm to your home, Jeanie. Valentine's Day does seem to come and go quickly, but who doesn't like hearts, flowers, chocolate, and love? I think most of us do. : )

I love what you've done. It's simple and sedate.
ReplyDeleteI no longer have decor for any holidays except thanksgiving and chritmas. When the kids were young I did it all. I can't recall getting rid of it all and yet it seems to be gone. Where are the baskets that my husband got from his parents, used year after year? No idea. Perhaps I threw them out in a fit of anger just after he left. If so, I wish I had not. I would love to be able to give those to the kids.
Enjoy the holiday whenever you get to celebrate.
Sweet! I’m being lazy so far, nothing out for VD!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty St Valentine's Day decorations, Jeanie. I don't have any special decorations besides a few heart and cupid ornaments that I hang on a cabinet in my foyer and a heart that I hang on my front door. I did make some heart-shaped cupcakes to serve on my son and oldest granddaughter's February birthday.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so cheerful and festive.
ReplyDeleteI've got to get my cards out......
Cheers,
No matter the season, no matter the holiday, you always have the cutest vignettes. Truly lovely pieces you have shared with us, dear. Love the LOVE with the tiny buttons!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations Jeanie. I love the heart baskets with the floral details!
ReplyDeleteJust Lovely Family
ReplyDeleteThese are Just so amazing cool pictures I love the way you christmas and valentine are showed in amazing way.
ReplyDeleteDeals voucher
Wow! I'm impressed that you make such an effort for Valentine's Day, Jeanie. It looks lovely. I'm afraid the only time our house gets decorated with ornaments and the like is for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Valentine's Day decorations. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteWe usually make each other valentines cards. I just found something which is the perfect inspiration! I'm thrilled. We keep some of our cards up on the walls all year round. Today I changed some of the pictures hanging on the stairs. It was a little like changing the deckchairs on the Titanic, (if that is the right analogy ??) well, what I meant is that the whole place is upside down with the bathroom still only half done and newspapers down everywhere for the painting. But I enjoyed doing it, and am getting pleasure out of the new selection of art work.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your "LOVE" decor! it was just a LOVEly amount! I wish for you to have a wonderful LOVE week! I hope your LOVE can join you soon!
ReplyDeleteThose little houses are so cute! Everything looks very happy and cheery. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely adorable display. I had to google both Vintage By Crystal and Kristen Robinson. I was not familiar with these amazing artists and I so admire their work. Alas, with college to pay for I will have to continue to just admire and not buy but I do enjoy their talents! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the best holiday/seasonal decorations!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding cardinal:)I love winter scenes..Have a great day..I hate on Ipads that we get comment errors even after re-logging in..:(Same with mine people tell me all the time.
ReplyDeleteYou are all set for Valentine's day Jeanie. Beautiful decorations, love the door wreath.
