For the first time since before quarantine we were able to see Kevin, Molly and the Toddler Twosome! It was a happy day!
They came for a socially distanced dinner on the way up north. The boys were more into playing than eating!
I find it very funny that they both not only love Rick's old push button phone but actually know it's a phone!
And of course it's always nice when someone helps mow the lawn!
Two tables were set well apart. I kept my mask on for most of the time except for eating and Kevin and Molly offered to wear them but we stayed apart.
We had some pretty sugar eggs from Rick's mom that were filled with M&M's, or "Ms" as they are called in this family. Thing One was careful opening his.
Thing Two decided on a more effective and immediate way to break in. (We did say we could give him Ms from another egg but he was fine taking them off the ground. Building immunities!
I'm pleased to say that we have discovered the best kid activity ever. And you have one in your home too! The door!
Someone clever and small discovered he could slip between the inner and outer door.
And when one wants to do it, the other wants to do it!
And then, together!
You've got to love the ingenuity of being almost two! It was oh, so good!
I very much enjoyed every photo Jeanie of this amazing and heart wearing reunion! But that last one is just the most adorable! THEY LOOK SUPER CUTE! Thank you very much for taking us with you guys on that lunch time with the kids :) Happy Weekend!

They are so cute, love the photo of them squashed between the doors :)
ReplyDeleteYou were obviously super happy to be able to spend time with family and the toddler twosome, Jeanie. Glad it worked out for everyone and one day soon you will all be able to gather closer. We can hope for that for all of us missing hugs from family and friends.
ReplyDeleteWhat cuties! I know how much you've missed them! We did the same for my birthday--we had an outdoor barbecue and kept distance and masks on until eating. It began to rain at cake time so we came inside but the children ran off to play in our basement where I have toys, and the adults were able to sit far apart.
ReplyDeleteThat was a visit to build your mental health! Those boys are the cutest, and your place provided plenty of fun and adventure, even if the food was "boring" - ha!
ReplyDeleteOh...my... goodness... Do those two cuties keep growing more CUTE, or what??!! LOVE that last pic with the squashed noses--haha! Sooo wonderful you were able to have a real, proper visit after sooo many weeks, months...sooo HAPPY for you all ! :) ((LOVE & HUGS))
