Merries! (And a postcard download for you!)

I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and wonderful new year.

Because there's something special about a Christmas greeting and I didn't want the days to pass without saying hello!

Rick and I will start the day with Chrismas breakfast and presents!

Later in the day we'll celebrate with friends joining us for dinner, with some classical music from Rick's trio with dessert.

Lizzie will wear her plaid Christmas collar with the bells unless she can figure out how to get it off by herself.

No sleigh rides or skiing, I think. Our snow is mushing up, but it's still a White Christmas.

Before dinner guests arrive, I'll make sure the plants are watered and the flowers are looking their best!

No doubt we'll talk about Christmasses past and present...

...and stick to the better angels of our nature and not get into any heated discussions!

We'll make a wish or two for the new year.

As the evening ends, know that you have been in our hearts, friends old and new, "virtaual" and "real life," those on this earth and those beyond.

And when all have left, we'll be off to bed. Happy, and remembering our best Santa moments!

As I was going through my postcard collection, I thought I'd post a few that speak to the season.

Feel free to download if you do collage, make cards, tags or place cards, or just like them!

Just click on them, then right click to save on your computer.

Have a glorious holiday!

And I'll see you in a day or two!

After the dishes are done!

  6. I absolutely love your postcard collection. I have a small collection, but haven't posted any for a long time. Your day sounds like it will be extra special. Give that kitty of yours a big hug. Hummm? Wonder if I could get away with a hat or scarf on my kitty. Merry Christmas to you, dear friend! May some time we meet face to face.

  12. This is an especially nice collection of images -- well worth keeping around, just to enjoy, if not to use. Merry Christmas to you and Rick! It's hard to believe Christmas is here already -- and a new year on the horizon. Best wishes for 2017, too -- may it bring you everything good!

  19. I love these postcards! So fun! I'll have to save some to use next year! I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas celebration. Ours was great. A little bit stressful with a drive on ice on Christmas morning but all in all, a great celebration. And extra special as a newly engaged couple!
