Thanks for coming by! I love your comments and will answer do my best reply directly with email if your address is included. If you are a no-reply blogger, know that I appreciate your visit but may not be able to reach you. I will not publish malicious or spam-like robo-comments so if you are coming in as anonymous or unknown, please ID yourself with your name and or contact info. I tend to avoid conflict. I know not everyone agrees with me on issues or I with them and I will probably not get into an argument with you. If a comment is made respectfully, I will post it, even if I don't agree with what the commenter says. If it is obviously spam or uncivil, I may not post it and I certainly won't reply. So, if you have a question, please post it in the comments and if you aren't connected to a blog or email, I will be happy to answer if I can. Please note that if you are an "anonymous" commenter, you are a no-reply blogger by default. (And I hope the person who asked that sees this because they came in as anonymous with no contact info so I can't reply directly!)
You look good in that photo. Healthy!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I would adore that little vintage sweets and coffee shop ~ and DEVOUR that yummy cherry cupcake. So nice to meet blogger friends and share about it !
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the weather didn't keep you from having a wonderful tour. Of course, ending with pie in such a wonderful place makes it all perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice post (even if i say so myself LOL). If still barely posting these days but have all our adventures lined up amd ready to go.
ReplyDeleteWe will be back home, finally, on Thursday afternoon.
Hugs and love to you and Rick.
Since pie fixes everything, I'd give it a try, too! Fun to meet fellow bloggers, Jeanie. You're looking good.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to meet Annie and Don.
ReplyDeleteThe church you visited is beautiful. The pie shop, oh my! That cupcake would have been on my plate too.
oh gosh, now I'm hungry
ReplyDeletefor pie:)
nice to see your smiling face
enjoying the sweet things
of life,
Jennifer
How wonderful to meet up with friends.. I love the stained glass in the Church, and the sculpture carving.. Breathtaking!
ReplyDeletefondly,
Penny
teehee...it does. It settles the spirit, especially blueberry with vanilla ice cream! JEANIE! There you are! I had the great pleasure once of meeting PENNY! How lovely to finally catch up with someone with whom you have connected. That little metal toy stove looks just like the one I had!
ReplyDeleteHave a super day Jeanie! Anita
It is so much fun to meet other bloggers. How nice you had to opportunity to mer Annie and here husband. Yes the stain glass and statuary are beatufil in the Church. Love the cafe, and what could be better to share with friends than pie.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday.......
Emily
It’s always a pleasure to meet up with blogging friends and when there’s pie thrown in for good measure, what’s not to like?
ReplyDeleteYou look great in the photo - healthy and happy! You are obviously a great hostess and tour guide. Any place that serves great pie and cupcakes is my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it seems as though pure enjoyment is in short supply, but you certainly look like you found some. My grandmother was a great believer in pie, even as a breakfast food, and though I'm not sure she ever heard the phrase, "Pie fixes everything," I know she would have declared it True!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a good time. I enjoyed reading about it.
You are looking good! Pie sounds much more appetizing than the cucumber, spinach and cottage cheese salad I am eating at the moment (though it's actually not that bad!) In the words of Homer Simpson, "pie...mmmmmmmmm"
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that one of the joys of blogging is getting to meet, "IN PERSON" the people who become your friends through this amazing journey on the internet.....
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a very lovely visit and going to the Pie place really topped it off, it seems, including a Cupcake, too.
For me personally, Chocolate Ice Cream Fixes Everything! (lol) But I wouldn't turn my nose up at a Chocolate Cupcake! That is a very charming place.....
Thanks for your visit and your concern....Everything is 'status quo' these days. Wish I could say things were better, but.....I'll take 'status quo', for now.
I just keep drooling at the cherry cupcake...
ReplyDeleteHow fun to meet a blogging friend "in person"! I'm still waiting on my first meet. :-) That pie shop looks fun. And yes, pie improves my outlook on many things. lol
ReplyDeleteWOW--the St. Mary's in Lansing is beautiful!! Fun photo of you all at the cafe (love the decor!) So glad you had an opportunity to meet friends this way. When friends are together, the weather doesn't matter. ;O) Look foRward to part II... Happy Days, Jeanie ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteJeannie, Looks like a terrific visit. I'd definitely go to a restaurant for pie.
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful church. And, would like to taste the pies and cupcakes at DeWitt, see your old school, the river, do some birding... Lansing is on my list to visit... some day. :)
Wow! Love the way you're looking these days, Jeanie! What a joy to meet a long-time friend face-to-face for the first time! I hope we're able to do that someday, too -- either in Lansing or here!
ReplyDeleteThat is so fun that you got to show some IRL turned URL friends around! It's always great to meet bloggie friends in person. So far everyone I've met has been even better in person.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are really looking trim and slim, Jeanie! Your time at the gym must be paying off!!
I love when they combine cafes with antiques. We have one in town that I just found for the first time (at a friend's retirement lunch). But I've got to go back for photos! Such fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little cafe. Pie does fix just about everything... at least while you're eating it. I had a slice of peach last night. Yum!
