There's a frustrated display artist somewhere deep inside me, and perhaps that's why I appreciate the conservatory at the Bellagio Hotel so much.
So, I was very disappointed to arrive on Tuesday only to see renderings of their Christmas display.
But never fear! By Friday, though not totally ready to go, one could see how close those renderings were!
From this...
To this (a slightly different angle, but you get the idea)...
Everything was suspended by cables.
This was the grand tree...
I never saw it fully decorated, but this gives you an idea of the surroundings...
Here's a broad overview of only a portion of the conservatory. You can see why it took a full week to get it right.
The entryway featured wooden soldiers under a large arch.
Here are some in progress photos as well as those from another angle.
And my beloved snowpeople!
After, they look pretty darned close...
And from a different angle...
Finally, the wonderful rocking horse...
Which looked like this...
Look above -- it's just as beautiful!
And you'll see plenty of poinsettias in later posts!
Don't forget that comments on this and other posts this month enter you into my blogaversary drawing!
Wow, amazing! Can you imagine the thousands of hours put into getting something like that together?!? From the artist concepts to the actualization I'm sure is a fulltime job for several somebodies.
ReplyDeleteThey really go all out, don't they! I love that they showed their concept drawings.

Dear Santa, I would like toy soldiers to decorate my front porch like the ones Jeanie has pictured in this blog entry.
ReplyDeleteThen I could stop this insane decorating mission I am on.
Thank you, Santa. Cookies galore await you!

ReplyDeleteWow! I love it, especially the rocking horse.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I have to say, I always find the artist renderings much more exciting to look at! Though the real life displays are amazing.

Where is this place? The renderings and resplendent decorations are a sight to behold! BTW, I made a holiday slideshow for my blog. If you have a few minutes, please stop by and see it.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these pictures Jeanie xx
It's beautiful. I love the size. Did it feel like you were a small child again looking at these big decorations? Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all of this with us. I think my favorite is the Rocking horse and the wooden soldiers. Huge childrens toys. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I love it. My brother and SIL love this place and I see that at Christmas time, it truly becomes a Wonderland!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous displays! With all the gawking people must do, how do they manage to walk around in this place without bumping into each other? I really love the artist's renderings... they don't happen to sell these as note cards or anything?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Thank you for the free trip and so much fun. What a fun process to see. I love process most of all! And you captured it so well! Love it!!!!!!!
