Ravishing Witches and Bats with Orange Wings (or are they fairies?)

Most of the Autumn images here are from my friend Judy's house! She's good!
I love spending time with my wonderful group of dynamic woman friends! On Wednesday, we decided to have an early Halloween celebration at Judy's.

Apart from bringing our own pumpkins, no "rules" -- costumes optional! But Jan entranced with her sophisticated witch!
Rhonda looked festive in a candy-corn tie-dye shirt!

Meanwhile, Holly dished out spicy cider! No witches brew here -- it was pure heaven!

Chris had her first time at the group wearing a suitable batty necklace, thoughtfully loaned by her five-year-old, Sophie!

Dinner was delicious -- a potluck, with Judy dishing up (appropriately) pot roast!

There were two tables -- this with Beth, Jan, Kate and Chris. Both were lovely!

In between conversations, we had to admire the beautiful decorations! Judy knows how to do it right!

Then Judy brought out her bat wings -- bright orange, which of course I had to try on!
And so did Jane, the Joyworker...

And Holly...

And Jan...

And Judy! (Department of redundancy photos!)

Then the group shot!

It was off to carving pumpkins!

And the finished pieces? Voila!
Tonight Rick and I will don costumes and go to a party after dishing out sweets to the trick-or-treaters.

I hope your Halloween is divinely spooky! Boo!

  2. You do the most fun things! Judy's house looked very cool. I hung a wind sock outside. And we had 4 trick-or-treaters (who were together). My street is such a dud.

  5. lity50You did a great job of capturing a wonderful evening of cool women, creative fun while honoring all my decorating! But you can't have my wings- and they're fairy or angel wings, not bat wings! :)

I'm hungover this morning on candy corn....

(To Bonnie: Don't feel bad. Our trick or treater numbers were way down this year and we have lots of kids around the neighborhood).

    Hugs!
