Reminds me of Lady Di and Charles' wedding...I stayed up all night watching it, I used to be a "Royal watcher" but not so much now. The photos of the tornado are scary. Oooh skunk! I hope you never get sprayed!!! ☺Rain https://www.blogger.com/profile/14377719049819222133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-80285656179070238322022-06-10T17:03:22.347-04:002022-06-10T17:03:22.347-04:00Well, you hit the emotional extremes this week ......Well, you hit the emotional extremes this week ... love the birds. Chickadees are the best parents and they will bring their fledglings out to your feeders when they are ready to learn about the world ... and the kiddos are a hoot. I hope you get the chance to witness their antics. Always sorry to lose a good neighbor and the chances are your new neighbors will be fine because you will make them feel welcome and a new friendship will bloom (fingers crossed :). Your 'not so little ones" are adorable. This is my first time seeing them, though I strongly suspect that they would show up in earlier posts if I were to peruse them. Did you know that dissented skunks make great pets ... they are much like cats, though maybe not as aloof. The scented ones, however ... don't stick your head in any bushes, you might get a surprise. My poor little Izzi (our deceased dog ) got a face full that way and, though there is a recipe on line for a way to clean skunk... it doesn't work well and Izzi had to run in an agility trial the next day. Needless to say everyone walked wide circles around her. The tornado destruction is horrific. We have had some tornado's near us, but I have never seen destruction like your pictures. It must have been scary to live through. I hope there was no loss of life. And Finally, the Queen, in her yellow suit, how perfect for Rain's prompt. I agree she is an amazing woman and I too hope she will be around for years to come. Your pictures are wonderful and I can just feel the happiness that surrounds you. So glad you are off the PICC line and feeling better. MERSA is gone??? Sure hope so. Stay well, Jeanie ... I hope each of their owners are able to rebuild soon.

Your bird friends and that albino-ish skunk are adorable!!! Funny, when we lived over at Lake Skinner in California that last year, only the three dogs in campground C (where we lived) got sprayed by Grampa Skunk. GS was an ENORMOUS skunk, as large as our 20 lb. Yoda, who is a Pekingese/Lhasa Apso mix (and larger in size to the Lhasa Apso breed). Yoda wouldn't come out of our small trailer for about a month without us lifting him out and getting out on a trail for his walks/restroom breaks.

Great shots of the nuthatches going/coming to their little home! After seeing those pictures from downtown Gaylord, I'm very, very glad your dear cottage avoided any direct encounter with the tornado -- what a destructive devil! Hooray, though, for being off the PICC line and for newfound mobility/ability to get out. Cheers to you & the Queen! I bathed many a dog in tomato juice when I was growing up after they had an encounter with a skunk. Tomato juice will take the unpleasant smell away immediately.
Those little boys are growing up too quickly, they sure are cute. And the tornado was dreadful. We are getting new neighbors across the street in a couple of weeks. Fun photos of the little skunk making its way through the neighborhood and all the birds are darling. The tornado did a number on those buildings. So scary! I enjoyed your photos of the Queen and London also. The Jubilee was a great celebration of her 70 years on the throne.
