We were without power for 5 days after the storms. How wonderful that you will get to go back to Paris again! You can take time to go to the out-of-the-way places and sounds like you are preparing yourself to be more at home!jet1960https://www.blogger.com/profile/15745911621562105192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-54660145381939632342011-05-07T19:07:30.632-04:002011-05-07T19:07:30.632-04:00How wonderful! It would come in very handy in my part of the world.

The pictures of your mom by the lake are so touching. Before we went to Italy, I practiced and practiced with the Italian lesson tapes, and I did pretty well over there, especially when we got lost. However, I have lost most of it now. You have to keep practicing. I'm envious that you're going to Parish again.Karen Owenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02290174945984464344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-83376029162940629002011-05-03T16:34:29.846-04:002011-05-03T16:34:29.846-04:00how fun to be invited to return! i'm so excite...how fun to be invited to return! i'm so excited for you :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-67700368578447240012011-05-03T08:08:08.266-04:002011-05-03T08:08:08.266-04:00Hi, Jeanie! And loved hearing about your French class and all things Franchophile. I took had French for 4 years in school and loved learning the language. I can still read a good bit of it, but don't ask me to speak it. ;o) Two Christmases ago due to bad weather we got stranded in Paris at Charles du Galle airport trying to connect from Europe to the USA... sadly, we had no time to really go into the city. We must get back there. :o) Keep us posted on your trip!Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09179096002434748927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-19631727577122679152011-05-02T20:16:30.061-04:002011-05-02T20:16:30.061-04:00I think it's so great that you took this class...I think it's so great that you took this class! I would love to take a french class. As you know, I am a fellow francophile, and I know I will return to Paris, so I should pick up a bit more of the language. I got by with what I know and a phrase book, but a better grasp of the language would help!Lisa from Lisa's Yarnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05335500882510597919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681875145919050501.post-28838987153535564632011-05-02T19:08:27.736-04:002011-05-02T19:08:27.736-04:00Oh how fun! It is such a cute story about an Italian class.

My hubby and I were in France almost one year ago. I loved Paris. I do want to go back. I am so happy that you are going again.

I just finished reading "The Paris Wife."
